Emmy Re-Imagining

The family of esteemed documentarian Nicolas Noxon needed a creative answer. Nicolas had won eight Emmy awards for decades of excellent pieces produced for National Geographic and others. Two of the statues fell off a shelf during the Northridge quake - both separated from their bases and one of the globes broke apart into individual rings.

The metallurgic makeup of the statues makes repair difficult. While replacements are available from the Television Academy, the family treasured the actual awards handed out on stage during the ceremony. Lofton Arts reimagined all the separate pieces of the broken Emmys in a new way and built a completely unique sculpture that the family loves. The figurine on the left is throwing her broken set of rings to the figurine on the right who catches them intact.
